CoSign Digital Signatures v4.3 Offers Microsoft Office 2007, Vista Support
Pleasant Hill, California, 19 July, 2007
ARX, Inc. (Algorithmic Research), a global provider of standards-based electronic signatures, digital signatures, and information-assurance solutions, has released the latest version of its simple-to-use, highly-scaleable digital-signature solution, CoSign®.
CoSign v4.3 includes the following new features:
| » |
For Microsoft Office Users: Support for the new ‘Signature Line’ introduced in Microsoft Office 2007. Microsoft introduced digital signatures in Office XP, yet up until this release, digital signature functionality was hidden deep in the application’s menu and had limited functionality. In Office 2007 the support for digital signatures has been enhanced and it has been made easier to use in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel 2007. However, users of Word and Excel still need a solution such as CoSign digital signatures to provide the underlying digital certificates that are used to sign these documents. In addition, CoSign further enhances standard Word and Excel functionality by adding centralized allocation, maintenance and management of signing keys, stored and real-time graphical signatures, a signing reason code and more. |

Support for Microsoft Vista "By supporting Microsoft’s new Vista operating system with the latest standards-based digital signature technology available, ARX continues its longstanding tradition of offering users the highest levels of document security without infringing on the user’s experience," said Gadi Aharoni, CEO at ARX. "At the same time, the inclusion of CoSign alongside the latest stable of Microsoft offerings also shows the commitment Microsoft has made to supporting standards-based digital signatures solutions." |
| » |
For Points of Sale (PoS) applications: CoSign v4.3 offers support for signing documents at the PoS, allowing for the capture of walk-in customers’ electronic signature using a signing pad, applying it to the document and then sealing the document with the agent’s digital signature. This new support eliminates the need for paper-based signatures and expedites the approval processes for new account applications. |
