CoSign for eArchiving

Electronically Signed by CoSign
CoSign for eArchiving signs documents with legally binding digital signatures,
enabling companies to free themselves from archiving the original paperwork.
Without a doubt, physical archiving is a solution that should be thrown on the
dust pile of history. Yet companies are still managing or outsourcing
expensive physical archiving in order to comply with the requirement to
present original documents during a legal dispute.
EU Member States have recently passed legislation that allows replacing the
expensive paper archive with an eArchiving solution, provided the original
documents are digitally signed during the scanning and eArchiving process.
CoSign for eArchiving is a combined hardware/software solution.
The software
component interfaces with the organization’s
existing scanning processes, and uses the hardware
component to sign and seal the archived files.
The CoSign hardware is an appliance for digital signatures, physically
protected by a hardened enclosure. The appliance connects to the
organization’s network and acts as a server for digital signatures. Signing the
files to be archived is performed following user authentication at a
performance rate that exceeds 100 signatures per second.
