IFN Systems and ARX Sign Cooperation Agreement to Distribute Electronic Signatures for Document Management

Petach Tikva, Israel - January 25, 2006

Algorithmic Research (ARX), a worldwide provider of electronic signature and data security solutions, has signed a cooperation agreement with IFN Systems, an application developer and integrator of document, content management and business process management solutions, to jointly market and resell ARX's CoSign digital signature appliance.

CoSign provides organizations with an integrated solution that enables users to electronically sign documents using standard electronic signatures within applications such as Microsoft Word, InfoPath, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and AutoCAD, as well as document management systems such as FileNet, of which IFN is the exclusive Israeli distributor. Using electronic signatures, organizations may replace handwritten signatures, sealing documents with legally-binding signatures as well as saving the costs and time associated with paper-based processes.

"ARX's CoSign will help us meet the increased need for document management systems that ensure the contents of the document have not been altered or duplicated, thereby insuring data integrity and non-repudiation," says Yasmin Marom, VP of Sales and Marketing at IFN.

"Electronic-signatures are a critical component in the migration to paperless environments," says Ramel Levin, Product Manager at ARX. "Thanks to our agreement with IFN, companies that are already migrating to content management systems and workflow applications solutions can now authenticate their data without having to print, handle, fax, scan and archive paper documents using CoSign."

Basing CoSign's electronic signatures on PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), a mature and proven technology, ensures signer authenticity, data integrity and non-repudiation of documents enabled via a document management system such as FileNet.

Governments in both the EU and Israel have updated legislation to allow for the replacement of expensive paper invoices and other document archives with an electronic equivalent, provided the original documents are digitally signed during the scanning and eArchiving process. CoSign meets and even exceeds the requirement put forward by such regulations, as well as those mandated by major healthcare, financial, and pharmaceutical organizations such as: HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11, among others.
