New CoSign™ Release Signs PDF Documents Without Having To Install Adobe Applications On The Desktop
Pleasant Hill, CA, USA - December 21, 2005
Algorithmic Research (ARX), a leading worldwide provider of electronic signatures and data security solutions today announced the breakthrough release of a new version of its flagship digital signature appliance, CoSign.
CoSign 3.31 features a host of new functionalities, foremost of which is OmniSign™, which enables users to sign PDF documents from any application on the user's PC.
The new release of CoSign uses OmniSign to create a PDF file using an application's Print command. This opens OmniSign, allowing the user to locate the signature field anywhere on the document. OmniSign also supports electronic signature applications on a broad range of products and solutions such as ERP, Document Management, Content Management and even in-house developed applications.
Thanks to OmniSign, any organization now has the ability to replace their handwritten signatures. “OmniSign ensures graphical signatures may even be applied to applications that do not offer built-in electronic signature support, sealing and legally-binding documents, as well as saving the costs and time associated with paper-based processes,” he says.
Additional features in this new release include:
Graphical electronic signature support for Excel® documents allowing end-users to generate graphical electronic signatures in the popular spreadsheet application. The new version of CoSign is 21 CFR Part 11 Compliant and offers users enhanced flexibility when applying electronic signatures: including the options of signing the document as a whole, a worksheet or only a selection of cells.
Graphical electronic signature support for InfoPath enables Microsoft® InfoPath users to add graphical signatures to InfoPath documents; and
A new administrator and user configuration utility that replaces the functionality of activating .adm files in older versions.
"We have seen a growing customer demand for electronic signature solutions featuring the enhanced functionality that CoSign 3.31 now offers,” says Gadi Aharoni, CEO at ARX. "The release of CoSign 3.31 to the ARX portfolio of solutions ideally positions us to meet these demands." Looking forward, Aharoni says: “ARX will continue to expand and enhance its offerings and capabilities as part of its on-going commitment to increase the electronic signature support it offers for a growing list of applications."
