PDF signing using Adobe Reader Roaming IDWelcome to CoSign Digital Signature demo for Roaming ID, a truly clientless approach to digital signatures.
CoSign acts as a Roaming ID Server. By implementing the Adobe Signature Service Protocol (ASSP), the user’s digital ID and private key are stored on the server and can be used by the roaming subscriber wherever they are located. Let’s follow John Miller as he reviews and signs and NDA. The NDA is saved as a Reader Enabled PDF, which is a PDF document that has fillable form fields and allows users to sign the document within Adobe Reader. John opens the document, and he completes the form. The signature field is Roaming ID enabled. There is absolutely no need to install any signature software on the desktop. He right-clicks on the signature field. He selects Sign Document. The enabled PDF form communicates with the remote CoSign server. Because CoSign is synchronized with the user’s directory, John Miller is automatically registered within CoSign. John is issued an identity challenge. In this case, he enters his user name and password. His credentials are validated at the CoSign server, and a secure session is established between the user and the server. John enters his reason for signing the document. By simply clicking Sign, his digital signature is applied to the document. By right-clicking on the signature and selecting Validate Signature, we see that the signature is valid. A valid CoSign signature creates a truly portable record that contains the document plus proof of signer identity, intent and transaction integrity over the life of the record…without the need for proprietary software.
CoSign keeps your business moving and makes it easy for business to be done electronically from anywhere. Thank you for viewing the demo. |
