Larger hospitals are more likely to have adopted EMR applications, and these may offer electronic signature for the input data. However, these proprietary electronic signatures require logging into the application to be verified and are therefore not practical for sharing signed data with third parties. Scanned images, reports, and records cannot be signed. And patient signatures on consents or forms created by the EMR cannot be accommodated. Specifically for such hospitals:
- CoSign eliminates printing and signing of records requested by third parties.
- CoSign adds digital signing capability to any printable record in the EMR and for any record in an EDM
- CoSign creates secure, portable documents that cannot be altered without invalidating the digital signature
- CoSign allows electronic capture of patient signatures on consents
- CoSign is a cross-departmental solution that can be used for back office processes such as HR, Accounting, Procurement and all other functional areas.
