In the following scenario, Sarah Reynolds, a clinical trials manager completes an FDA form 3454.
The form is a fillable PDF, and she is able to open, complete, sign and save the form using her free adobe reader.
Sarah opens the PDF document.
She begins completing the form.
Sarah clicks on the signature field, and she is automatically prompted for her user name and password.
The Sign Document window opens, and Sarah selects her reason for signing from the drop down menu.
Implementing a digital signature solution that allows the signer to document and visually display the reasons for signing is critical for FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
The document is now signed.
Anyone viewing the signed PDF, may validate Sarah's signature.
By simply right clicking on Sarah's signature and selecting validate signature.
We see that the signature is valid.
