Welcome to CoSign Digital Signature demo for HP Document Management Scanners.

HP Document Management Scanners provide quick and easy migration of paper-based documents to commonly used electronic and editable formats. ARX's CoSign digital signatures provide universal integrity on all the commonly used electronic and editable document formats - maintaining the document's authenticity for the remainder of its life cycle. In the following scenario, David Jackson completes and signs a double-sided mortgage application during a face to face interview with Sarah Reynolds, a mortgage broker.  Sarah will scan the application into a PDF document for electronic processing.

CoSign works with both HP Scanjet 5000 and HP Scanjet 7000.

The HP Smart Document Scan Software dialog box opens. Sarah selects the scan profile.  HP Scanners are fast and easy to use.  Scanning is truly a one button step, and Sarah may begin scanning directly from this dialog.  In this instance, Sarah decides to confirm her settings.   The scan progress dialogue box opens, allowing Sarah to visually track the scanning progress.  Once the document scan is complete, David's newly created PDF application opens within ARX's CoSign and may be reviewed online and moved into an electronic workflow.  After Sarah reviews the application, she may easily apply her digital signature to the document.  CoSign has the ability to sign documents of multiple formats, such as MS Office, Adobe PDF, Lotus Forms, etc. Sarah simply clicks the Sign button, and she is prompted for her user name and password.   The application is now digitally signed and sealed by Sarah.  Any changes made to the document will immediately invalidate the signature and so any changes, intentional or accidental, can be easily detected by anyone viewing the signed document. David Jackson's electronic mortgage application is routed to Best Bank, N.A. A representative immediately reviews and processes the application. By simply right clicking on Sarah's signature, the bank representative may validate Sarah's signature and verify the document’s authenticity.  The banker verifies the signature is valid, and the document is authentic.  There are proprietary electronic signature solutions available that can sign documents, but only a standards-based solution can create electronic records that can be trusted by outside third parties and be validated by commonly-used desktop applications, without the need for proprietary hardware or software.  Furthermore, a valid CoSign signature is proof of signer identity, intent and transaction integrity over the life of the record without the need for proprietary software.
