CoSign Digital Signatures with Nintex Workflow
Welcome to the CoSign Digital Signature demo for Nintex Workflow.
The following demo will feature Nintex Workflow with CoSign digital signatures, focusing on the end-user experience – digitally signing documents and lists.
We will learn how a document is approved and signed by 2 people using the Nintex workflow solution and CoSign Digital Signatures.
Robert needs to purchase a laptop.
He completes a Purchase request form which requires the approvals of both his manager, John Miller, and the Purchasing Manager, Sarah Reynolds.
Let’s follow Robert Davis, an employee of No Paper, Inc.
Robert prepares the purchase request form and creates a PDF.
He then initiates the workflow in SharePoint.
Robert selects the appropriate workflow.
He arrives at the Nintex Workflow Initiation screen, where he begins the workflow by clicking Start.
Within the Document Library, we can see that the purchase request workflow has been initiated.
An email is sent to the first signer, John Miller, for his approval and signature.
John receives notification of a new task by email.
He clicks on the link to access his SharePoint Tasks window, which now has the new Pending task requiring his signature.
John clicks on the task.
He arrives at the CoSign for SharePoint signing page.
He then enters his signing credentials and reason, and clicks Sign.
John’s Tasks page will now show that his signature is applied to the purchase request form and that the task is completed.
An email is sent to the second signer, Sarah Reynolds, for her approval and signature.
Sarah receives her email notification.
She arrives at her SharePoint Tasks window, and sees the new Pending task.
Sarah arrives at the CoSign for SharePoint signing page.
Sarah reviews the document and verifies John’s signature.
She enters her signing credentials and signs the purchase request form.
Sarah’s SharePoint Tasks page also indicates that she has assigned the form and completed the task.
Robert received email notification that the purchase request form has been signed by all required parties.
By clicking the link in his email, he returns to the SharePoint Document Library.
Robert can see that the form has been signed by 2 signers, that all signatures are valid and that the workflow is complete.
When opening the document, Robert can see both signatures. CoSign digital signatures provide global proof of the 3 I’s: Identity, Intent, and Document Integrity.
