| CoSign Digital Signatures for Microsoft SharePointWelcome to CoSign Digital Signature demo for Microsoft SharePoint 2007.
In this demo, we follow John, who much review and sign a new purchase order. In the SharePoint Documents Library, we can see the purchase order listing. Under Signature Status, we can see that the document has not been signed. John clicks on the purchase order link within SharePoint to view the form. After John reviews the purchase order, he returns to the SharePoint Documents Library. Here, he can approve and digitally sign it in SharePoint. John clicks on the drop down menu. He selects Sign with CoSign. John is prompted for his Account Name and Password. He clicks the Sign button. Now, under Signature Status, we can see that all signatures are valid. By clicking on the purchase order, we can view the newly signed document. The Signature Panel shows that the PDF is signed, and that all signatures are valid. We see John’s signature in the signature field. We can verify John’s signature by right-clicking on his signature and selecting Validate Signature. The signature is valid, and if we look at the Signature Properties…we see that a valid CoSign signature is proof of signer identity, intent and transaction integrity over the life of the record…without the need for proprietary software. John must update inventory lists based on the recently approved PO. He begins by creating a new item. John is ready to sign the changes he made to the list. He clicks on the drop down menu, and he selects Sign with CoSign. John is automatically prompted for his User Name and Password. The new item is now signed. We can verify John’s signature by selecting the drop down menu and clicking Verify Signature. We see that the signature is valid and can confirm the integrity of the content. If we view the signer’s certificate, we confirm John’s identity.
