Digital Signatures for Laserfiche Demo

Welcome to CoSign Digital Signature demo for the LaserFiche Document Management Product Suite.

Scott Smith is a hospital administrator responsible for all patient data that is managed and accessed within Laserfiche. Scott must verify and sign Thomas Baltazar's Patient Information sheet. He begins by double clicking the Patient Form for Mr. Baltazar. After reviewing and verifyng the patient information, Scott is ready to digitally sign the form. CoSign digital signature capabilities are seamlessly integrated within Laserfiche. To digitally sign the form within Laserfiche, Scott clicks on the Sign with CoSign button. The Sign with CoSign window opens to confirm that Scott is about to digitally sign the form. CoSign allows the flexibility for organizations to pre-designate the signature placement in the document template or allow the signer to choose the signature location within the document. In this scenario, Scott is choosing the signature location within the document. Once he selects the signature placement, he clicks the Sign button. Scott is prompted to enter his user name and password. The Sign with CoSign windows opens confirming that the file was converted and signed successfully. He is asked if he would like to assign the digital signature template to the document. Once Scott clicks OK, The digitally signed Adobe PDF version of the document is added as a new version to the original TIFF. It can be viewed in the Laserfiche Input window or within the metadata of the document. We can see that a new page containing Scott's digital signature has been added to the document. Scott opens the digitally signed page by double clicking on the Adobe PDF form. He right clicks on the signature.  He verifies the signature and validates that the document has not been altered. Scott closes the form, and he selects the template button. Scott confirms that the digital signature template was added during the signature phase.
