ARX, a leading provider of electronic signatures and data security solutions, today announced a business partnership agreement with Mosaic Software, a global Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) software company, for securing payment processing at ATM's using traditional magnetic cards and EMV chip cards.
With this agreement, banks, acquirers, issuers and processing centers can now enjoy a secure payment processing solution that fully complies with the latest Visa and Mastercard security protocols for securing magnetic pass and EMV chip card transactions.
Mosaic Software and ARX successfully integrated PrivateServer – ARX’s FIPS-140 validated Hardware Security Module (HSM) solution – with Postilion, Mosaic’s leading-edge payment processing software, to authorize payment-card transactions. This agreement provides users with the highest levels of security when conducting card transactions at ATM's.
Bank Leumi and First International Bank of Israel have already successfully implemented the joint solution. Some of the functionality that the solution offers includes: verifying Personal Identification Numbers (PIN), converting PIN code encryptions between different banks (PIN translation) and issuers, verifying Card Verification Values (CVV) and EMV chip card transaction authorization.
In order to provide a smooth integration between Postilion and PrivateServer, ARX and Mosaic Software offer a middleware software solution that is transparent to the customer. This software provides fault tolerance and load balancing, enabling users to easily add or switch between PrivateServer HSM units in a seamless fashion.
