ARX, The leading electronic-signature applications provider, announced today the launch of CoSign, a revolutionary digital-signature application.
The product, due to be released officially in Q3/02, offers a revolutionary method for creating PKI based electronic signatures. PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), a method used for electronic signature as well as other security applications, was introduced to the market more than 25 years ago. It is the only method that offers data-integrity, non-repudiation, and signer accountability in electronic-signature applications.
From its inception till today, PKI-based systems were considered to be complex to deploy, non-integrative, and very expensive. CoSign offers an innovative method that can reduce the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of electronic-signatures to as low as $10 per user.
CoSign achieves such low TCO by offering an integrative approach to PKI , and by offering a zero management solution, in which all the necessary management tasks are performed using market popular user-management tools such as Microsoft Active Directory. CoSign also uses a central secure repository of signing keys and certificates, which dramatically reduces the TCO associated with distributing and managing keys.
