ARX (Algorithmic Research) announced today that PrivateServer 4.6 has been released. PrivateServer 4.6, the newest version of the highly regarded PrivateServer HSM series, is a cost-effective, secure, FIPS 140-2 Level 3, network-attached HSM that provides cryptographic services in a wide range of environments and applications such as EMV, Visa 3-D Secure, Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), PIN verification (PVV, CVV), transaction signing, hashing, and encrypting.
PrivateServer version 4.6 now features PIN mailer capabilities, enabling customers to securely output both basic and enhanced PIN mailers to an attached printer. The basic mode provides the minimal functionality needed for calculating and printing simple text-based PIN Mailers in a very simple and convenient manner. The enhanced mode can be used to print advanced PIN Mailer designs that contain both text and graphics. This mode takes full advantage of the PrivateServer Module Development Kit (MDK) capabilities and enables organizations and integrators to program and customize the content and design of the PIN mailer.
Among the numerous new features PrivateServer 4.6 includes are support for new EMV functions, RSA OAEP algorithm, HMAC algorithms and secret keys, allowing users enhanced levels of encryption and security.
"PrivateServer 4.6 satisfies all of the standards both the government and the financial industry have established as necessary for secure and proper transactions," said Gadi Aharoni, CEO, ARX.
ARX’s PrivateServer HSM has been successfully deployed worldwide at numerous industry-leading organizations including Polcard (Poland), Handelsbanken (Sweden), Volvo Finanse (Sweden), and HSBC (Brazil).
