CoSign Digital Signatures Speed up Processes at Benchmark

ARX, Inc. (Algorithmic Research), a global provider of standards-based electronic signatures, digital signatures, and information assurance solutions, has implemented a CoSign® digital-signature solution at Benchmark Biolabs, a specialized laboratory service that helps improve the productivity of vaccine research.

CoSign is ARX's non-forgeable, simple-to-use, standards-based digital-signature solution that allows users to digitally sign documents, records, files, forms, and other electronic transactions. CoSign enables users to sign multiple document-format types with just a click of the mouse, resulting in seamless user adoption and fast deployments.

CoSign is being used by Benchmark’s internal QA auditors to sign and seal SOPs and compliance reports dealing with controlled chemical substances that are highly regulated by both the USDA and FDA 21 CFR part 11.  Benchmark’s Laboratory Information System (LIS) acts as a data repository and generates a vast number of reports and SOPs that document procedures and internal compliance.

"We wanted to speed up the process of signing reports generated from their consulting services, and to comply with various USDA and FDA regulations of internal documentation needed to prove adherence to procedures and compliance.  Moving these documents to an electronic format required us to have a solution that could also seal the reports against any change."

"The consultants inspect a client's labs/operations; suggest recommendations for improvement, compliance, etc. The final reports are signed and trafficked back and forth between 4 locations (Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, and New York) for review, sign-off and filing – a process that could only be enhanced by a regulatory-compliant digital signature solution such as CoSign."
