ARX, the leading provider of digital signature solutions, today announced a partnership with Symantec to combine their respective digital-signature and digital-identity offerings.
Users of ARX’s CoSign® Central digital signature solution now have the option to seamlessly consume digital IDs from Symantec’s cloud-based PKI service. The solution provides businesses with a secure and cost-effective method to sign electronic transactions over the Internet with standard digital signatures. CoSign’s comprehensive digital signature capabilities, combined with Symantec’s cloud-based PKI service, provides enterprises with proof of signer identity and intent, and ensures transaction integrity over the life of a record.
"This advancement enables our customers to seamlessly incorporate Symantec’s digital identities, within the affordable, secure and feature-rich digital-signature capability that CoSign is known for," explained John Marchioni, VP Business Development, ARX. “When people sign documents digitally and securely, they accelerate their business and reduce costs while maintaining proper controls over their business processes.”
"By integrating the two technologies, our ID management services are instantly connected with several productivity applications that most companies have already invested in for automating their internal, B2B and B2C electronic processes," said Dean Coclin, Senior Director of Business Development, Symantec. “An added benefit for our customers is that CoSign enables strong digital signing without relying on smartcards, USB sticks, or encrypted files. As a result, our customers can digitally sign documents securely, and without having to manage tokens or carry tokens while roaming.”
