ARX (Algorithmic Research) today announced that The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), established to monitor compliance by contracting parties to the European Convention on Human Rights, has made the CoSign digital signature (standard electronic signature) solution an integral part of its overall workflow solution.
ECHR required an electronic signing solution that allowed them to record authorizations and approvals on electronic documentation eliminating the need to reintroduce paper into their workflow for signing purposes. As ECHR utilizes Microsoft® Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) along with Open Text eDOCS DM to manage their extensive documentation workflow of case-related documents, the solution they implemented needed to work seamlessly with MOSS. As CoSign is a highly scalable solution designed to easily integrate with MOSS deployments, ECHR decided to implement the CoSign digital signature solution.
"With CoSign, embedding digital signatures into electronic documents we use in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server and eDOCS has been effortless," said John Hunter, IT Director, ECHR. "Signing a document is as easy as a one-click process."
The Portable Signature Format (CoSign PSF™) created when CoSign captures a signature allows The Court employees and third parties associated with The Court's business processes to seamlessly verify and retain proof of identity, intent, and document integrity without costly, complicated, or proprietary software. This, coupled with the ability to leverage a fully electronic process via MOSS and Open Text eDOCS, has allowed ECHR to maintain an uninterrupted workflow for the thousands of documents they handle each month.
"The European Court of Human Rights is a wonderful addition to our portfolio of legal clientele," said Raanan Dahari, Director of EMEA Sales, ARX. "The Court's use of CoSign highlights the solution's ability to expedite internal and external workloads and verify the integrity of documentation."
