Digital Signature Solution Expedites Visa Cal's Application Process

ARX, the leading provider of digital signature solutions (standard electronic signatures), has implemented the CoSign digital-signature solution at Visa Cal, a leading Visa credit card provider in Israel. The CoSign digital signature solution enables Visa Cal's point of sales representatives to digitally sign and seal in-store credit card applications, expediting their review and approval process. In their reduction of paper-related costs alone, the organization is expecting a savings over $325,000 in the first year of their CoSign implementation.

Previous to their CoSign digital signature solution, Visa Cal's field sales representatives used a credit card application and approval process that was paper-based, difficult to manage, and expensive. The point of sale system included a customer filling out a paper application by hand, which the Visa Cal rep would review, scan, and email to Visa Cal's central office for processing. After reviewing their point of sales systems in search of opportunities for improvement, Visa Cal decided that an electronic credit card application process would significantly expedite approvals and allow the organization to eliminate their exorbitant paper-related costs (i.e., paper, printing, ink, scanning, and processing time).

By integrating the CoSign digital signature solution point of sales software with a Pegasus Notetaker Pen, Visa Cal's representatives are able to capture the graphical signature of credit card applicants and seal them with their own digital signatures. The electronic applications can then be routed via an Internet connection from the representative's point of sale location to Visa Cal's central application processing site within seconds of application completion.
