ARX, Inc. to present at the NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) Key Management Workshop, addressing the benefits of centralized key management for digital signature deployments.
San Francisco, California May 28, 2009
ARX's VP of Business Development, John Marchioni, is providing a presentation at the NIST Key Management Workshop on June 8th-9th in Gaithersburg, Maryland that will detail the enterprise-wide benefits enabled by a centralized key management approach to digital signatures.
This NIST event is designed to improve the overall key management strategies used by the public and private sectors in order to enhance usability of cryptographic technology, provide scalability across all cryptographic technologies, and support a global cryptographic key management infrastructure. As such, Mr. Marchioni's presentation will highlight the benefits that make centralized key management approaches like ARX's CoSign® digital signature solution superior to traditional Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). The benefits he will detail include control advantages, administrative simplicity, scalability, and audit trail capabilities.
“Key distribution may work well enough for things like session confidentiality and devices that require access control, but the model does not scale well and tends to break down when end-users also require key services,” explained Mr. Marchioni. "A centralized key management solution provides all of the benefits of a distributed solution at a fraction of the overall cost and with intuitive administrative design that makes management and setup seamless."
Mr. Marchioni's presentation will take place in the Green Auditorium/Administration Building (101) on the morning of June 9th.
