ARX Releases CryptoKit Version 4.4.0

ARX announces the release of the latest CryptoKit™ version, which includes new features and supports Microsoft® Windows® 7.

San Francisco, California, February 24, 2010

ARX (Algorithmic Research), a leading provider of data security solutions, has released CryptoKit Version 4.4.0. The release includes a variety of new features and upgrades that further enhance the product and its ability to integrate data security features simply and seamlessly with any third-party application.

The latest CryptoKit release fully supports both 32- and 64-bit Windows 7 versions, and includes enhancements that support the new cryptography architecture introduced by Microsoft with Windows Vista. The two most significant features are a Key Storage Provider (KSP) and a PrivateCard Minidriver. The KSP supports Microsoft CAPI New Generation API (CNG) for ARX’s CoSign digital signatures appliance and PrivateServer™ HSM. The Minidriver feature supports smart card logon (PIN based or bimetric) with ARX PrivateCard.

Another feature of the latest CryptoKit release is the support for PrivateSafe™ readers on Windows 64-bit operating systems, which extends the reader’s compatibility. With the new features, CryptoKit 4.4.0 is now leveled with Microsoft’s latest released operating systems.

“We’re excited that our developments with CryptoKit allow continued applicability with widely-used, third-party applications like Windows as they evolve,” said Gadi Aharoni, CEO, ARX. “This development highlights our ability to meet growing and developing business needs.”
