ARX’s CoSign® standard digital signature solution passes JITC certification tests, confirms CoSign’s compliance with US DoD PKI standards.
San Francisco, California, July 3, 2011
ARX (Algorithmic Research), the leader in enterprise digital signature solutions, announced today that its CoSign digital signature solution has been certified as DoD (Department of Defense) Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Interoperable by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC).
CoSign is designed and developed according to U.S. Government Standards for digital signatures including: FIPS PUB 186 (DSS - Digital Signature Standard) and FIPS PUB 180 (Secure Hash Standard). CoSign has also been certified at FIPS 140-2 level 3 by an independent U.S. NVLAP lab sanctioned by NIST. Recently, CoSign passed JITC’s certification tests for digital signature deployment with the U.S. DoD PKI.
CoSign also supports the upcoming U.S. Government requirements for longer key lengths and hashes, that is, 2048-bit signature keys, and hashes of up to 512 bits. This further ensures that CoSign deployments meet the stricter security requirements that are expected to be implemented by government agencies in the future.
CoSign provides native support for mainstream, commercially-available business applications including: Microsoft® Word and Excel®, InfoPath®, SharePoint®, Adobe Reader and Acrobat, and IBM® Forms, among others. CoSign also plugs into an organization’s pre-existing infrastructure for user management including Microsoft Active Directory, IBM Tivoli, Oracle OID/OVD, Novell eDirectory, and LDAPs. Windows 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems are also natively supported, as is a standard digital signature Web Services interface.
“The CoSign solution is designed for a rapid, secure, large-scale deployment of standard digital signature capabilities”, said John Marchioni, VP Business Development, ARX. “These certifications verify the security features of any CoSign deployment while CoSign’s native support for commercial applications, and user-management-infrastructure solutions, validates broad interoperability with other COTS solutions. These aspects ensure security and user adoption which translate to an excellent ROI profile for our customers.”
