CoSign Digital Signatures Speeds up Processes at MannKind

ARX (Algorithmic Research), a leading global provider of digital signatures (standard electronic signatures) and information assurance solutions, has implemented the CoSign® digital-signature solution at MannKind Corporation, a development stage biopharmaceutical company.

The solution expedites the processing of internal Human Resource documents that were routed between offices located in California, New Jersey and Connecticut.

"Every employee is using CoSign to electronically sign documents associated with non-regulated operations," said Christine Swinburne, Project Manager at MannKind. "To ensure the solution was adopted easily throughout the organization, MannKind created a standard operating procedure (SOP) for digital signatures."

Swinburne explained that management ensured employees were informed they were to only use CoSign to digitally sign non-regulated documents, and that only documents and forms that were pre-approved could be digitally signed.

Once forms are approved for use, a signature field would be added to the form. Employees can then download these approved forms and add their signature by simply right clicking on the signature field.  This would also eliminate potential confusion around choosing proper signing mechanisms for use with non-regulated and regulated documents.
